Are Referees Who Work Matches Assigned from the NSYSA Website Covered by Insurance?Printable

This question has been raised by several individuals and has caused the NSYSA research and verify the following answer from the WSYSA Executive Director:

  • There are no boundaries for officials. Any Certified/Licensed Official can officiate any officially sanctioned match. All matches posted on the NSYSA website are in fact sanctioned.
  • Any Certified/Licensed Official working a sanctioned match is covered by USSF Insurance.
  • Non Certified Officials working a sanctioned WSYSA match are covered by WSYSA Insurance.
